Dear friends,
I don’t want to use this space to shill too hard for a brand, but I’ve been thinking lots about how lucky it is that Mixlr, the platform over which we broadcast Real Deep Radio, includes a chat feature. Have I written this before? Regardless, it’s always a pleasure to read the conversations that happen here, our reactions to what we’re hearing, inside jokes, updates on life. Maybe it won’t surprise you that my favorite recurring conversation is the talk about dinner. “What did you eat tonight? What are you cooking?” A few weeks ago, Teddy did a show on songs about food, so now I’m hearing the connection everywhere. Music and food really do go hand in hand. It’s all taste, pleasure, nourishment. And it’s memory and communion too. What will you eat this spring? What will you listen to while it’s cooking?
Yours,
Kevin (and Hugh and Adam)
P.S. Are you interested in producing a broadcast on Real Deep Radio? If you have an idea for one-off or recurring programming that you’d like to pitch, contact us at realdeepradio@gmail.com. Let us know your concept or give us an idea of a typical broadcast. While much of our programming is based around music, we’re open to any and all aural experiences. All we ask is that it’s real deep, none of that fake deep.
